Anonymous digital love letters
If you haven't figured it out by now, your birthday gift to me in 2025, 33 Things, inspired this idea. I thought, why write you a single note when I can just make a blog site and add to it anytime I want?
The most fun part about this little project is that you'll always wonder when I'm going to write something new. You'll check it once a week, hoping to see a new post.
The anonymous nature of this string of digital love letters means that I'm free to write about anything I care to share with you. These notes are not entirely private, although they might still feel private. Let me explain.
Most writers on this unknown blog platform are anonymous. The only way to "interact" with a post is to upvote it. You see the tiny arrow at the bottom of this page?
No comments, no sharing. A handful of internet strangers might read these words, but they don't know me, they don't know you, and we don't know them.
It's like if the mailman found a letter lost in the bottom of a bin in his truck. No names or addresses written on the envelope, so he feels like it's okay to open. He reads the contents, they warm his heart or make him chuckle. He smiles and goes on with his day.
So, in an odd way, I'm making us both a tiny bit happier by writing these words, and also a few pedestrians that might catch some stray smiles from time to time.
As you know, this is incredibly fun for me to make. Maybe it's a selfish endeavor, but I know for certain you'll like it too. Thanks for reading, my love.
